PLANED PARENTHOOD NYC
CHALLENGE
A nonprofit organization seeks to promote informed sexual and reproductive decision-making from individuals. They actively provide information and health care, they also promote public policies that make these services available to everyone who needs them.
By 2015 more than 53,000 patients had visited this non- profit organization, which enabled them to contribute to the health system of the United States.
They seek to help more active communities that feel unprotected. A clear example is the Latino community inside NYC.
key findings
- Latino women face difficulties identifying themselves with safe and comfortable environments when it comes to sexual and reproductive health.

OUTCOMES
- Create a tool for immigrant women that would facilitate their access to information about sexual health services and their rights in the city.
- It will raise awareness for the Latin American women living in NYC about how to be proactive about their sexual health.
